John Baragwanath King 1864 – 1939

A painter good enough for Queen Alexandra & King Edward VII to collect during his reign from 1901 to 1910.

John Baragwanath King (1864–1939) was a British landscape artist best known for his vintage watercolour art or paintings in gouache, particularly his stunning depictions of the South Coast of England, Cornwall, and the Lake District. Born near Penzance, Cornwall. King lived in St Austell Cornwall but maintained a studio in Plymouth. This painting is a highly detailed autumn scene of a farmyard at Chagford in Devon. Signed, super bright colours throughout and reframed and protected under museum glass. I would buy this just for the lady feeding her ducks!
