A super figurative acrylic by Robert Sadler. Conversation I is an original piece from 1976 in Sadler’s gorgeous knife-work style. A superb period frame with the both the Reades Gallery and Ernest Hilton labels verso. Sadler uses the full length of the board to emphasise the vertical shape and appeal of this painting. By leaving the lower left area almost empty he directs your eye to the faces of the two women in conversation.
